Our route from Tunis to Malta - all you
have to do is make one right turn! |
 |
The hotel Abou Nawas at Hammamet near
Carthage and Sidi Bou Said makes a comfortable stay and has some
good restaurants. |
 |
Dawn over the Bay
of Tunis from our hotel |
 |
I can't resist those cheesy dawn shots! |
 |
Houcine Ennaceur, who helped us bring
the boat over from Tunis. Sadly the image got sadly over-compressed,
which does him little justice as he was a great help to us at every
stage. |
 |
Lotfi Aloui, who also helped us bring
the boat over - his photo has suffered the same fate as Houcine's! |
 |
Fishermen in the Bay of Tunis still row
around, though you'll notice he carries a hefty outboard too. |
 |
Thirty six wind generators (I counted
them) were an unexpected and impressive sight as we approached Cap
Blanc, before bearing East for Malta. |
 |
Safely tucked up in Msida Marina,
Valletta, just before the predicted gale came through. |
 |
The Black Pearl overlooks Msida Marina.
Being turned into a restaurant is a bit of a sad ending for a fine
boat, but better than the breaker's yard and a nice place to eat if
you don't mind a whiff of tar with your pasta. |
